Frequently Asked Extension Questions

What are hand tied weft extensions?

Hand tied refers to both the way wefts of hair are made and the way they are attached to the head. I offer two types of wefts hand tied and machine sewn, the type that is right for you will be dependent on your hair type and the look you want to achieve.

This method allows for minimal damage to the hair and a more natural feel as the extensions lay flatter against the head and can be easily styled into your every day wear routine.

Do they require special care?

I recommend gentle hair practices, professional products and low and less frequent heat to extend your extensions life. The better you care for your hair the longer life you will get from your extensions.

How long will the Extensions Last?

With proper care the extensions will last from 9-12 months. Using low and/or less frequent heat (always use a heat protection product before heat styling), gentle combing practices, professional product and getting your extensions moved up on time (every 6-8 weeks) will allow for the longest life span.

How much does it cost?

For an estimate please book a consultation, previous guests may have the ability to hold a consultation via direct message, first time guests will be required to attend an in person appointment. You can book through the book now link on the home page.

How are they applied?

Sew in extensions are applied by attaching silicone beads in natural u-shape sections of your hair. The weft extension is then sewn on with a thread and needle using the beads as points of attachment. The amount of rows and wefts that you will need is based on your hair type and your desired outcome.

What do they feel like?

Hand tied beaded weft extensions are one of the few methods of extension attachments that leave you feeling normal. The first few days they may feel snug but not uncomfortable, once you are used to them you will forget they are even there!

How often should I wash my hair with extensions?

The best hair washing practice is to go around 3 days, many that have extensions find themselves being able to go 5-7 days before having to wash.

Can I still wear a ponytail?

I would never offer my guests something if it took this option away… You should be able to wear any of your normal styles. I will ensure that neither the weft or the beads are noticeable from any of your part lines as well.
